The business of Pentad-SE is to provide the support, training and appropriate sofware tools needed to implement process improvement and software measurement strategies.
The training courses can be delivered in a classroom/workshop setting, on or off site. Alternatively some may be delivered using our distance learning service.
The software has been developed by experts having both the theoretical and practical knowledge of Process Improvement in general, and software measurement and analysis in particular.

  • fsmIT is a powerful Software Tool which provides a complete measurement environment for performing Functional Size Analysis.
  • The tool covers the whole measurement cycle from sattement of requirement through to comprehensive reporting of the measurement results.
  • It provides predictions of effort to build or enhance a software project.
  • Once the software measurement model has been contructed, it automatically measures the size of the software
  • The current versions implement the COSMIC method, an IFPUG and an FPA Mk2 version will follow during 2011.

Convert to COSMIC

Convert to COSMIC is a service supported by a software tool. COSMIC is the latest and most capable of the various Function Size Measurement Methods (FSMM) and has significant advantages over the older methods. However for those who use either FPA Mk2 or IFPUG there is an undersandable reluctance to discard their existing measurement asset.

Convert to COSMIC has been designed to help users move to COSMIC by converting the current fuinctional sizes to the equivalent size in COSMIC Function Points
